Chang-wook Lim draws a picture that can be interpreted in polarity with its own rich text using various periodical images. The impactful picture of the ruined house, violent lynches, the Pope standing face to face with soldiers has come from realistic issues, but it does not suggest any allegations. This characteristic also appears in his artistic method of directly dropping pigments on aluminum panels. It is not as clear as the serpentine silhouette seen outside a window on a rainy day, but he sees what is happening and reconsiders his deep thoughts and memories imprinted on each one.

 임창욱 작가는 다양한 시대적 이미지를 이용해서 자신만의 풍부한 텍스트로 양립적 해석이 가능한 그림을 그린다. 보도 사진이 작업의 기초가 되며, 그를 둘러싼 세계와의 관계성을 통하여 다시 읽혀진다. 폐허가 된 집, 집단구타, 군인과 교황이 대치된 모습 등 강렬한 화면은 현실적인 이슈에서 비롯되었지만 어떠한 주장도 제안도 하지 않는다. 이러한 특성은 알루미늄 판넬 위에 직접 안료를 떨어뜨리는 작업 방식에서도 나타난다. 비 오는 날 유리창 밖으로 보이는 구불구불한 실루엣처럼 명확하진 않지만 어떤 사건이 벌어지고 있는지 보는 이로 하여금 깊은 상념과 각자에게 각인된 기억을 재고시킨다.
