일련의 작업들은 캔버스라는 한정된 공간을 넘어서 그 안팎에서 시시각각 변화하는 색과 빛을 품고 있다. 색은 고정되지 않고, 자연스럽게 변화하고 움직인다. 시선을 따라 서서히 달라지는 빛깔이라고도 할 수 있다. 때때로 단조로워 보일 수 있는 색채의 실험에 집중하는 작업이라 하겠다.
이름없는 색, 언어로는 표현할 수 없는 색채를 찾아가는 여정이기도 하다.
수많은 색층들로 이루어진 화면은 색과 빛의 호환으로 구성된다.
아무것도 재현하지 않는 색면의 작품은 깊고, 투명하다.
그것은 어떤 의미를 전달하기보다 감각을 담아낸다.
캔버스 사이즈는 몇가지 비율의 원칙을 가지고, 단위 구조로 배치함으로써 움직임도 발생한다. 변화는 작품 내부에서도, 작품과 작품 사이에서도 일어난다.
캔버스의 가장자리는 한 작품에서도 색과 빛깔이 수차례 겹치고, 변화하면서 화면의 공간과 선,완성도를 만들어내는 곳이며, 가능성의 지점이기도 하다.
고요함 속에 요동치는 색의 움직임과 변화, 순차적인 색 면들 사이에 간격을 두기도 하면서 공간 내부와 자연의 빛을 자연스레 끌어들여, 은연해 보이지만 결코 지나칠 수 없는 시선으로 이끈다.

This series of works transcend the physical space of the canvas, embracing the continuously changing colors and light beyond the canvas. Color is not fixed – it changes naturally and transforms organically. It is iridescent and in a constant spectrum. My work focuses on the exploration of color that may appear monotonous at times – it is a journey of discovering nameless colors and hues that defy linguistic labels.
Each canvas is composed of numerous layers of color, forming a coalescence of color and light. Without a representation of a symbol or an idea, the seemingly empty color field is ironically deeper, more profound in meaning, and transparent. It invites senses rather than hermeneutics.
The dimensions of the canvas have several principles of proportions, arranged in modular structures that incur movement. Change occurs within a single work, and between different works. At the edge of the canvas, colors and tones overlap countlessly and change continuously, creating a spatiality, linearity, a sense of completeness, and new possibilities.
By introducing intervals between the change and transformation of silently reverberating colors and the sequential layers of them, I invite, natural light and spatiality into the composition. It creates a subtle yet undeniable presence – something that captures the viewers’ gaze to pause and wonder.
